Rev. Kwabena Dautey Akufo is the senior pastor of the Bethsaida Christian Center of The Apostolic Church in Worcester, Massachusetts.  He is also the President of Karis Equipping Ministries that currently operates a radio sub-station called Ghana Radio In America broadcasting on WORC 1310AM in Worcester, Massachusetts.  He hosts two radio shows: Word In Action program on WORC 1310AM and Restorative Word of God program on WCUW 91.3FM.  He is the author of the book titled, Utter Mysteries to God. The Power in Holy Spirit Baptism and Tongues.

Rev. Akufo believes in the proverb, “Knowledge is Power,” and in God’s statement in Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.”  Consequently he has a passion to equip the church with sound biblical knowledge in order for them to progressively become more like Christ.  As a result he teaches the church to reach out to and become a safe haven for the lost and dying, teaches the church to rely on and use the Bible as the sole guide of Christian life, and teaches the church to be persevering in prayer eschewing the pursuit of personal prophecies.

He previously served as the New England District Pastor, the North America National Secretary, and the North America National Finance Chairman of The Apostolic Church.
Prior to becoming a pastor he worked as an engineer and executive in the computer industry for over 20 years while he taught computer science as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Lowell and then at Boston University.

He has a masters degree in Religion from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, Massachusetts, a masters degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, and a bachelors degree in Computer Science and Economics from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Rev. Akufo is married to Peggy Akufo and they have three children: Teiko, Padikuor, and Dautey.
